Tackling water pollution

Water pollution, especially the waste from the beverage and pharmaceutical industry  is becoming an issue of global concern. One way to address this is through the use of bacteria.

Scientists have genetically engineered bacteria that can digest caffeine have been created for the purpose of the decontamination of wastewater.
