Public
Health England has produced an external quality assessment (EQA) scheme,
suitable for laboratories in the water testing and clinical microbiology
sectors that monitor the microbial quality of water used rinse endoscopes.
The
examinations covered are:
- Colony count at 28°C to 32°C for 5 days
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa
- Yeasts
- Moulds
- Mycobacterium spp.
